OBIRIN means Woman in the Yoruba language.

OBIRIN serves as three things, a carefully curated book archiving the lives, struggles, history and stories of African and Black womanhood.  An experiential story-telling platform through the art of physical and digital exhibitions.

Lastly, OBIRIN serves as a platform that works towards the protection of women and children through collaborative work with charities and organisations in the UK and in Africa.

OBIRIN is a gift from Afrokanist Magazine, this is our thank you for giving us a head start and support to pimp the system!
